Little Monster Halloween Cookies

Bake these cute little monsters for Halloween snacks, made from chocolate, a dessert for everyone.

1 cup dark chocolate (for ganache)

½ cup dark chocolate (for decorating)

½ cup white chocolate

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

18 Cookies


To make the ganache:

  1. Place chopped 1 cup dark chocolate in a medium sized heat safe bowl and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the heavy cream to a boil. Remove it from the heat as soon as it does.
  3. Pour the heavy cream over the chocolate and let stand until chocolate has softened.
  4. Add butter at room temperature and still until smooth.
  5. Add ganache to a pastry bag or place plastic wrap directly on the surface of the ganache and allow to cool at room temperature for 2-4 hours.


Googly eyes & teeth

  1. Melt white chocolate and dark chocolate separately using the double-boiler method on low flame, stir continuously until they melt. Let them cool down for a while. Add the melted white chocolate and dark chocolate to piping bags.
  2. For the Dracula teeth, on parchment paper, begin with a dot and slowly drag it towards a side. For the googly eyes begin from the inner circle to your desired size. Pipe on the dark chocolate for the eyeball.
  3. Use toothpick, drag the chocolate part of the eyeball to the white part of the eyes. You may also use different food colouring, red for example to create a bloody look.
  4. Put it into a freezer for half an hour.


Match cookie pairs according to size. Put the first cookie face down. Pipe on some ganache, making it thicker on one side. Place the teeth on the thicker side of the ganache and cover with the top cookie, press down on only one side to give the illusion of an open mouth. Use additional ganache on top to make your eyes stick. Store in airtight container and serve them cold.
