The Best, Softest, Fluffiest Cinnamon Rolls to bake at home!

Home-made Cinnamon Rolls are THE BEST!
If you love fluffy and extra soft cinnamon rolls, here's a recipe for you. It's very easy and simple for beginners to make from scratch. You will love the cinnamon swirl topped with vanilla glaze and its tender texture inside.

Prep time: 30 min
Dough to rest:1.5hrs
Bake time: 20-25 min


The dough

  • 345g all-purpose flour
  • 60g caster sugar
  • 1tsp salt
  • 7g instant yeast
  • 180ml milk
  • 45g butter
  • 1 egg

The Filling

  • 70g butter
  • 1.5 Tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 60g dark brown sugar

The Glaze

  • 120g icing sugar
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt


  • Mix all the dry ingredients for the dough together (flour, caster sugar, salt, and yeast).
  • Warm the butter and milk on the microwave for a minute.
  • Combine the dry ingredients with the warmed butter and milk. When they come together, add the egg.
  • Knead the dough for 4-5 minutes until it all comes together.
  • Rest the dough for 15 minutes covered by a towel.
  • In the meantime, mix all the filling ingredients together (butter, sugar, and cinnamon powder).
  • After 15 minutes, roll the dough into a large rectangle with a rolling pin.
  • Spread the cinnamon filling all over the dough.
  • Roll the dough gently a little bit at a time.
  • Cut the dough into 4-5cm lengths and put them into a round cake tin. Make sure there is lots of room around each one.
  • Find a warm spot and leave it for one to one-and-a-half hours to rest.
  • After the dough doubles in size, bake them at 170C for 20-25 minutes.
  • Prepare the glaze: mix all the ingredients together (Icing sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt) until it's smooth.
  • When the cinnamon roll comes out from the oven, brush the glaze all over the top of it.
  • Now, it's time to enjoy your cinnamon bun freshly baked from the oven.
