Food handling hygiene seems common sense, but you'd be surprised how easily common food safety mistakes are made when preparing dishes. Cross contamination is a common mistake eg chopping raw meats on a cutting board and then chopping raw vegetable on the same board that has not been cleaned. 

Some simple ideas to prevent cross-contamination of foods:

  • Have different coloured cutting boards for different types of foods
  • Use different knives for different types of foods
